Yoga Stories - Surya Namaskar

As you may know, I am in my “yoga” period. After having practiced intensely (i.e daily) during the holidays, I had enough and went on a two-week break. I nevertheless found the strength to get up on a Tuesday morning and to resume my classes. And I gave it all I had!! Which made my muscles incredibly sore for the next 3 days!!

Here is “the” yoga position, Surya Namaskar (or Salutation to the Sun), in Delhi airport.

Apparently very complete exercise and not quite as easy as it may look (at least as far as I am concerned)…

For the purists, it should be done at sun rise or sun set (and bowing to the sun, you will have guessed it!).

A view of Mumbai

At the end of a street, far end (exactly of Bandstand in Bandra)… a surprise !!

A great view on the Sea Link and on the "modern" Mumbai (that really looks modern at night only actually)!!

It's all about details...

Daily scene: a beggar at the exit of the church.

Till there, nothing really surprising.

I first notice his plastic shelter – it is monsoon time – tied around his head…

Ah! and then, hold on, he has a peg leg. It's rare a peg leg; I even grew accustomed to the stumps and they don’t frighten me any more.

Roh but wait, it is a funny peg leg, especially the foot. And the shoe…

Well, the color of the foot does not match his complexion but this is not really essential after all…
